Fiumefreddo Bruzio castle is one of the main monuments of the Calabrian town of the same name. Established in the early 13th century, it has a long history of battles and raids, which have left visible traces to this day. The original structure of the castle has been altered several times, and the most evident modification are those of the Renaissance period and particularly the 16th century.

During one of the most recent renovations, Rossini Illuminazione was brought in to supply Falcon outdoor LED floodlight luminaire with its die-cast aluminium body, which is polyester powder-coated to offer great resistance to ultraviolet rays and corrosion. The product has a clean, minimal design, with lines and volumes ideal for a classic, historic context. Falcon was also installed in a congress room and in passageways dominated by an ancient stone-vaulted roof. Falcon’s high-power LED brings out the texture of the stone, and with its 36W of indirect light, it creates a perfect rhythm as it fully illuminates the path through the castle.
