Art requires lighting that will show each piece to its best advantage, and so in 2015, for the inauguration of a new exhibition space in Carouge, in the Swiss Canton of Geneva, we were invited to supply spotlights and tracks from Rossini Illuminazione’s TECH catalogue.

The gallery was seeking a flexible product that could adapt to the different works of art displayed at any given time. In these settings, tracks are often the solution of choice, because they allow for the installation of different floodlights according to the requirements of the moment. For the exhibition rooms we supplied a number of metres of Groove three-phase line-voltage tracking, in a white finish. For the first exhibition we supplied Maya floodlights, again in a white finish: this high-efficiency LED product uses lenses and accessories to give an adjustable light beam from 10° to 40° (another element of customization that is useful in cases where requirements will vary over time). Furthermore, this product is adjustable through 355° horizontally and 180° vertically, making it possible to focus light on different elements without moving the product from its point of installation. For the first exhibition, the floodlights were supplied in a warm-light version (3000K), but Maya is also available in a cold/neutral light version (4000K).
